The First Lady of Oluremi Tinubu has called on Nigerians to embrace the enduring values of love, compassion, kindness and generosity as they celebrate Christmas, urging citizens to look beyond the season with renewed hope for the nation.

In her Christmas message titled “Hope Beyond the Season,” the First Lady said the Yuletide offers an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the deeper meaning of the birth of Jesus Christ and the shared values that bind families, communities and the country together.

“In this Yuletide season, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ with our families and friends, let us be reminded of the values that unite us – love, compassion, kindness, and generosity,” she said.

The First Lady oted that Christmas is not only a time of celebration, but also a moment to pause and reflect, stressing the importance of gratitude and selflessness in everyday life.

“It is a time to count our blessings and extend a helping hand to those who need it most,” she said.

The First Lady also expressed gratitude to God for His continued guidance and protection over the nation, while offering prayers for peace, safety and harmony across religious lines.

“We thank the Lord for His faithfulness, and we pray for peace in our nation, for the safety of Christians, Muslims, and those of other faith,” she said.

She expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, praying for unity, hope and shared prosperity among citizens.

“I wish each of you a peaceful and joyous holiday season,” she said, adding, “I pray that 2026 will usher in greater unity, renewed hope and prosperity for us all.”
