…Scraps Niger Delta ministry, merges it with SGF
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Wednesday assigned portfolios to the newly appointed ministers after successful screening by the Senate.
The list was exclusively released to State House correspondents by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Ajuri Ngelale, following a directive by the President to that effect.
The publisher of Blueprint Newspaper Mr Mohammed Idris Malagi has been named as the Minister of Information and National Orientation.
Former Governor of Rivers State Mr Nyesom Wike is named the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) while Festus Keyamo would serve as Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
The President named Mr Wale Edun as the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, and the former Governor of Jigawa State Mr Abubakar Badaru as Minister of Defence while the former Governor of Zamfara State Mr Bello Matawalle would serve as the Minister of State for Defence.
Others are Bosun Tuani, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy; Ishak Salako, Minister of State; Ishak Salako, Environment and Ecological Management; Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy; Adebayo Adelabu, Minister of Power; Tunji Alausa, Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare; and Mr Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development.
